VCS Layoff Update

Today the Union received the official notification from Verizon on the total number of members being laid off and when they intend to let them go.

The following are the numbers by Union map:

Northern  =  122

Raritan     =  56

Central     =  124

Southern  =   34

The layoffs are anticipated to occur in the 14 day period commencing on April 3, 2012.

Also, these layoffs are for Budgetary reasons only.
