The Regional Bargaining Committees for the north and south met together yesterday to identify and discuss common issues and a united front. These interdistrict meetings will continue.

Our Committee continued to discuss and work on the Union’s proposals. We will continue to work on the proposals and will meet with the company on Tuesday.  

We have spent, the last few days arguing with the company on the lack of concern for their customers and their determination to abandon customer service for the sake of punishing us for the strike by denying overtime. Yesterday they opened up with over 35,000 troubles. They finally declared an emergency and opened up the purse strings yesterday afternoon. Finally they are putting customers first.

This process will not be easy or quick, but with your determination and support, we will get a fair contract.
